This is a rare wine, with limited production, only released in harvest years with exceptional characteristics, Tonel Nº 3-4 will be best appreciated in its splendor 15 to 20 years after the harvest, although it can reach its peak much later. .

Description

It is the most emblematic wine of Herdade do Mouchão.

It is designed based on the Alicante Bouschet variety, which found in Herdade do Mouchão a terroir of choice and which gives it a unique character. The blending of this variety complemented with Trincadeira gives it greater exoticism and elegance.

After fermentation in lagares, the wine ages for 24 months in 5,000 liter barrels of Portuguese oak, macacaúba and mahogany, and then another 24 to 36 months in bottle.

The Mouchão wine has a deep, concentrated color, a spicy character and its unique tannin structure enhances a long aging in the bottle.
